For those of you that aren’t only interested in EJ’s escapades, but are also curious about his development, we have added this section to show you how far along EJ is in his speech. Let us know which word you think he’ll say next.

A while back I mentioned that EJ visited Seasame Place and finally, after almost a month, I have upload the first of this enormous gallery. Click here to view the rest of the pics (in the media section also). If my grotesque figure has scared you in this picture I suggest you view by thumbnails. By the way, we’d love to read any comments you have as well. Ciao!

I have always read that reading to your baby is good for them. I have always tried to read to EJ but it’s not always easy when he doesn’t even let you hold the book. Now that EJ is older I am able to hold his attention span a little longer that I can actually read him a book. Daddy told me that whenever I do read to him I should read the book twice. So I’ve been reading EJ this book called “Ha Ha”. It goes “Ha Ha moos the cow. Ha Ha quacks the duck”, etc. I do the animal noises and everything. 2 days ago he handed me the book and said “ah ah”. So I read it to him. Yesterday I read it to him again but he wanted to hold it. He opened the book and said ” ah ah”. He would turn the page and again say “ah ah”. Who would’ve known he can now read it on his own. It was the cutest thing ever.
Update: He said “moo” today after I read him the cow and now he can’t stop saying it.

We’ve added a Google bar so you can search for your favorite posts here at EJ’s Blog or use the ever useful Google search engine.
Although I am the one that posts the most on this site, EJ has been added to some mommy blogging sites: Check them out for some hilarious anecdotes about other children:

EJ turned 16 months on the 30th of July and as of mid-August – EJ will be coming with me to work every day. Thanks to one of my best friends Andru and his brainchild, Gear Live, this dad get to live a dream and work from home as a full time blogger! I’m sure this means that I will be adding many more entries on this site as I will have PLENTY to talk about. Like how much EJ is impeding daddy from doing work learning more and more every day.

Well, Daddy just happened to wake up at 4 this morning because there was something weird about the floor: it was wet. I went to the bathroom to see if it was the toilet, to the air conditioner to see if that was to origin, alas, I couldnt figure it out. As I traveled to the entire apartment, I realized that the entire place was 2 inches deep in water. So grandma and grandpa came to help only to have a very cranky young man cry for hours because we wouldn’t let him play on the floor. Thanks nana and grampa for helping out.

A note to all mother’s out there. DO NOT LET YOU 1 YR OLD PLAY WITH YOUR CELL PHONE. EJ loves cell phones. I put it on lock and let him play with mine. He ran off with it and I haven’t seen it since. That was approx. one month ago. I have looked EVERYWHERE in my house and I can not find it. I had even checked the garbage. Now logic would say ” Why don’t you just call it?” Well, EJ somehow turned it off. Luckily I have insurance on my phone and only have to pay $50 to get a new one. I haven’t done it yet because I am so determined to find it. As you can see I have been unsuccessful. My point is that even though you may think it’s cute that your baby is talking on the phone, just be aware that if he runs off with it, you may never see it again. Don’t believe me, ask EJ’s dad. He thought it was cute that EJ would try to brush his teeth with daddy’s toothbrush. Let’s just say that I’m going to have to buy him another one tomorrow.

EJ’s favorite word right now is “Ya!” or “Yep” He will answer any question with this response. Here are a few examples:
Did you miss me? Yep
Do you have a dirty diaper? Ya
Do you always have to poo right after your bath? Yep
Do you love mommy and daddy? Ya
Oh well, at least it’s a relief he’s not saying “No” and “Nope”

Although I am partial to borderline hating Elmo, we will be headed to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania in the morning, so I’ll be sure to post some pics of puppet madness. Thank goodness that Marvin, Jenny, Sam, and Jaden are coming with us. They will keep me from doing bad things to Elmo (watch your back furry red puppet) As a matter of fact there are only 2 reasons to go to this place:
