My sister (EJ’s Aunt), Isaura had her Sweet 16 a few days ago. EJ spent the whole party walking around with an Elmo doll that used to belong to his uncle Christopher. Christopher had no choice but to give EJ the doll. We had tons of fun. Happy Sweet 16 Titi Isaura.

I tried a while back to get EJ to color but was unsuccessful. I thought I would give it a try again. I gave him a piece of paper and some crayons. I showed him what to do and voila – I present to you his 1st Van Gogh. Ok maybe not, but pretty impressive nontheless. Unfortunately, once he was done he tried to rip it half. An artist is his own worst critic. Hence the tear.

Last weekend mommy was stuck having to work along with my co-worker, Julissa. EJ and Daddy came along with me to keep me company. EJ behaved very well. He played with his toys and watched the Wiggles on Daddy’s laptop while Mommy and Daddy both worked on the computer. No one likes to have to work a 6-day work week but having EJ around made me feel better. As if it wasn’t bad enough that EJ drives Daddy crazy 5 days a week!

Not many people may know this but Edwin can solve a rubix cube in under 5 minutes. Looks like EJ can do the same. It took him one year, but he’s got it down – with Daddy’s help of course. After he solved it, he was so upset that there was no challenge, so he threw it at Daddy.

Today, grandma “Mita” came to visit. She brought EJ bubbles. She taught EJ how to blow them.
But after several times would he ever catch on?

This past Labor Day weekend, we went to Wildwood, NJ. We left Friday and came back Monday. We took EJ to the beach for the first time. He slept most of the time there. We also went to the amusement park. EJ went on several rides like the carousel and the flying elephant. His favorite was the car carousel where he got to spin the steering wheel of his truck. He kept saying “Wee” when it would spin. We also spent some time in the pool which EJ loved. We stayed at the Days Inn which had a small kiddie pool that was fenced off. The water was only 6″ deep which was perfect for EJ to play in. Overall we had a great time. I can’t wait to do it again.

On Friday, we traveled 2.5 hours out to Bridgeport, CT in the dead heat of rush hour traffic. We listened to Wiggles almost all the way there, at least until EJ fell asleep. We had a great time with Greg, Anthony, Jeff and Murray.

You can check out the rest of the concert pics

I hit the quarter century mark today so as my present to all of you – an aestetically more pleasing picture of Jeesely and I’s EJ-free days:

I will confiscate Jeesely’s camera phone to start to take some pics. I can only paint the picture that is EJ eating oatmeal for breakfast – by himself. It wasn’t pretty.
